Tribal Publications, Inc.

Ever since I can remember I've always seemed to make all of my creations credited under Tribal Publications, Inc. At first, it was just a little thing I did for fun. I think the first time I actually designated something under this logo was in March of 1987, a story I wrote for high school. It might have been earlier, but I would have to check my old things. Later, as I began making home movies and writing stories, I added the Tribal Publications, Inc. into each of my creations. If I wanted to use a shorter version as a signature, I would simply use the word "Tribe." I would put that on mostly every creation I did, too, whenever I would print it from my computer. Every single DVD or CD I ever made on the computer has the Tribal Publications, Inc. markings on it, along with the word "Tribe." When I first write out my stories, they all bear the markings on the very first title page.

I plan to make sure every book I write has the word "Tribe." This has become a constant issue whenever one of my books begins the publishing process. I have to explain every time not to remove the word from the beginning of the book because for some reason, it is always removed even when I distinctly instruct them not to do so at the time it is submitted. Some people just do not follow instructions.

The reason why I use it in the first place has to do with the fact that I have a huge family. I've always thought of my family as our own tribe. Since I always used family members in all of my home movies, it was a Tribal Publication, so to speak.

In fact, whenever I created a home movie I would add this video logo at the beginning. I also made a shorter alternate version without the sound effects or music. I used an old program called Video Wave to make it. It was my old go-to video program for making and editing my home movies.
Just for the record, Tribal Publications, Inc. is not by any means an official publishing company. It is not a corporation or a company. It is just my own private way of saying it was made by me. When I started this website I noticed there was already another Jason Medina out there in cyberspace doing his own thing. I didn't want to get confused with him, so I added my own touch to the website name. I guess that means Tribal Publications, Inc. is no longer private. So be it.
